DESCRIPTION:Learn about the medications that have received FDA approval for use as part of a treatment plan for obesity. UTK professor and pharmacist Glen E. Farr\, Pharm.D.\, will present on the drug mechanisms\, expected weight loss\, typical health changes\, and approximate cost of each medication. He will also discuss the differing roles of each drug in weight management. \nThis is a must attend meeting for dietitians and students. \nNo RSVP’s will be taken for this event.
